Step 1: Review the GNC Franchise Materials.
Conduct a preliminary review of all information pertaining to GNC
Franchising. This includes carefully browsing this web site, especially
the answers to Frequently
Asked Questions.
Step 2: Get Acquainted. Submit a Confidential Get-Acquainted Form which asks for information relating to your background, qualifications and interests. This information is important for us to learn about you, just as you need to learn about us.
Step 3: Apply for a GNC Franchise.
Once we receive and process your Confidential Get-Acquainted Form,
we'll send you a detailed franchise application. This Application
requests specific information relating to your financial status
and is used to determine if you're financially qualified to operate
a GNC franchise. To speed up your qualifications process, you can
access the Franchise
Application on-line.
Step 4: Visit GNC Headquarters.
Upon being financially approved by GNC, you'll need to schedule a visit to GNC headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. This meeting offers you the chance to learn in-depth information about GNC Franchising. Copies of GNC's Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and Franchise Agreement will be presented.
Step 5: Evaluate Your Personal Commitment.
The next and possibly most important step is to take what you have
learned and evaluate your own personal commitment to operating a
GNC franchise. Examine your financial situation and business qualifications
carefully - you may even choose to consult your attorney or accountant
for guidance in this decision-making process.
Step 6: Sign the Agreement.
After you have thoroughly researched the GNC franchise opportunity
and are certain you have made a well-informed choice, sign the franchise
agreement and send it to GNC along with your franchise fee.
Step 7: Finalize the Franchise Site.
Once you sign your agreement, our Senior Director of Franchise Development and our Real Estate department will work
with you to secure the location that is right for you. This may include building a new store or the purchase of an existing store. GNC must approve your final
location.
Step 8: Attend Training. Prior to opening, your training will consist of one week in a corporate store near you and one week of classroom training in Pittsburgh.
Step 9: Set Up Your Store. Next, you work with GNC to set up your store, including the point-of-sale cash register system, employee hiring, inventory selection and more.
Step 10: Open for Business.
When all is in place, you're ready to open for business. A GNC field representative will work with you during the first week. GNC's continuing support system is available for you to access when needed.
